MORE THAN MARTIAL ARTS

Unlike traditional martial arts schools, ACETSS is a nonprofit organization where purpose comes before profit. We welcome children, adults, seniors, veterans, first responders, trauma survivors, amputees, individuals with disabilities, and anyone seeking confidence and personal safety.

Our certified instructors provide adaptive instruction that allows every participant to succeed regardless of age or ability. We combine authentic Taekwon-Do with real-world self-defense, leadership training, disability inclusion, and community service, creating lasting transformation that extends far beyond the training floor.

Our focus isn't simply earning belts—it's empowering lives.

FOUNDER

I’m Master G, Michelle Trickett-Golino, a 7th Degree Black Belt, 2026 Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee, and one of only three women in the Unified International Taekwon-Do Federation to hold this prestigious rank. For nearly five decades, Taekwon-Do has shaped my life, strengthened my spirit, and guided my mission to empower souls and transform lives.

My journey began in 1980 in New Haven, Connecticut. At just twelve years old, I lost my father to gun violence, a tragedy that forever shaped my commitment to helping others build strength, confidence, and safety. Taekwon-Do became my refuge and my path forward. It helped me overcome adversity, earn a place on the USA Women’s Taekwon-Do Team, and open my own dojang in 1997.

In 2021, I founded A Charity Empowered to Save Souls (ACETSS.org), home of World Class Taekwon-Do, to give others the same opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive through authentic Taekwon-Do. Since then, ACETSS has empowered more than 9,500 individuals of all ages and abilities.

Today, I teach more than martial arts. I teach courage, confidence, discipline, self-protection, leadership, and belief. Through ACETSS, we serve over 400 individuals weekly, with more than half of our member-athletes presenting with disabilities. We have seen nonverbal students find their voice, blind students break boards, and individuals with cerebral palsy rise from wheelchairs to perform Taekwon-Do patterns.

Our member-athletes train for personal growth, community service, and even the world stage. Our school has produced 25 World Champions, but our greatest victories happen when someone discovers they are stronger than they ever imagined.

Whether I am teaching locally, speaking nationally, coaching internationally, or helping athletes reach World Championships, my purpose remains the same: to empower every body and every soul through Taekwon-Do.

Join us and experience how martial arts can change lives—one body, one soul at a time.
